Bernard Mohan is Emeritus Professor of Language and Literacy Education, University of British Columbia and a Research Fellow at King's College London. He is a former Chair of the North American Systemic Functional Linguistics Association, and a current member of the advisory board of the International Consortium on Task-Based Language Teaching. His publications and research interests are in five main areas: functional analysis of language and social practice, the integration of language and content learning, language and content assessment, computers and language learning, and multimodal representations across languages and cultures. With his colleagues Constant Leung, Marilyn Low, and Tammy Slater, he has recently published a book section on language and content assessment.
