Reading to Learn (RtL) South Africa 

RtL Africa Conference

Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August 2015


Venue:            St Nicholas Diocesan School, 34 Jabu Ndlovu (Loop) Street,

                       Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal

Times:            Friday 2.30 pm to 8.30pm (which includes a light supper)

                        Saturday  8.30 am to 4.30 pm

Costs:            R300 per delegate ($US 30 FOR OVERSEAS DELEGATES)

                       (including teas, finger supper on Friday and lunch on Saturday)


The Programme will include:

  • Plenary sessions on topics of general interest in Reading to Learn
  • Short papers (30 mins + 10 mins for questions) of aspects of RtL
  • Workshops (60 mins or 90 mins) on aspects of RtL practice

NB: In addition, there will be a full day workshop/meeting on RtL on Sunday 30 August including presentations by overseas delegates which is not directly part of the conference but which will be of interest to delegates.  If you are interested in this workshop, please indicate on the Application Form.

To apply to attend as a delegate:  Please fill in the Application form below or attached and return it to or hand it to a committee member by Friday 31 July 2015.   Conference fees must be paid by 14 August 2015 or you will forfeit your place at the conference.

To apply to present a paper or workshop on an aspect of Reading to Learn:  Please fill in the Abstract Form attached and submit to by Monday 1 June 2015
